The Mountfield Park masterplan will deliver 4,000 new homes on existing farmland on the south eastern edge of Canterbury. The project is conceived as an exemplar 21st century community.
A detailed application for 150 dwellings and community facilities forms the first phase with a range of housing typologies based on clusters of courtyard housing.
The public realm is developed as a largely pedestrian orientated environment with integrated sustainable drainage and a planting strategy which is informed by the local agricultural and horticultural landscape.
