Clifton Gate

Landscape masterplan for 3000 new homes on an 180 Ha site on the northern outskirts of York. The development is conceived as a village rather than an urban extension to York. Recreation, play and sport facilities combine with structural planting to provide a significant green edge to the city ring road. A landscape and visual assessment was undertaken as part of the process to ensure the historic setting and approach to York Minster is not compromised.
